I've been busy
Lately I haven't had much time for blogging. As much fun as it is documenting and sharing our day to day ups and downs, living them has been chaotic! It seems like every day one of the kids is mastering or learning some new skill and I'm constantly on my toes or being pulled in some direction.
We're working on potty training
and bedtime routines with a teething two year old.
While the older boys are really into puzzles, drawing/coloring, and reading {by themselves with their Tag Reader or with B &/or I}
Sissy is becoming more alert and staying awake more each day...
...and I've made a new best friend (and I've become obsessed with finishing the Millennium series).
While Miss Sweetcheeks is finally sleeping 9-10hr stretches at night, it's being offset by the fact that Peanut is constantly waking up at night. I think there are several factors: he is cutting his 2yr molars, he's simply not needing as much sleep as he previously was and lastly I think he needs a bigger bed. He sleeps much like Pooks: all over the place. Add to that the 2,306 stuffed animals that he ''needs'' in his bed to sleep and there just isn't enough room for him in his current toddler bed. Each and every night he'll wake at least twice before midnight {it's gotten to the point where I don't dare try to go to bed before midnight} and we lay him back in his bed. But inevitably we wake up each morning between 4am and 6am to a swift kick from his tiny little feet as he tries to crawl up into our bed and lay down between B and I.Mama is exhausted.
We're getting his twin bed at the end of the month. The plan is to put him in with Sissy and have them share a room. I don't know if he'll love that idea or not but that also means that I have to transition Sissy from the bassinet to her crib. Which means that I have to find the baby monitor. Which means I finally HAVE to finish unpacking the last 4 boxes in our master bedroom.
Which means I'll probably continue to be pretty exhausted.

I screwed up.
My blog that is.
I was messing around with the HTML codes trying to add something and accidentally deleted my template. Then I had to choose a new one to customize and the basic Minima template that I've always personalized, no longer exists. I know how to fix it, I just chose to read ''The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" instead as it's time consuming and basically a giant pain in the ass that will take me a couple of hours. Probably. You know, if I ever start. Which seeing as I just finished reading the first book in a trilogy, probably won't happen until after I finish book three.
It's how I roll. I like to read.

3 months, already!
Sissy, today you are three months old.
I can barely believe it! It feels like you've been a part of this family much much longer than three months but also impossible that you're already that old! I'm not trying to brag, but you are quite possibly, the perfect baby. You just take life as it comes; you only cry when you think you are ''starving''. You sleep through any and everything. Brothers screaming, dog barking, door bell ringing, vacuuming, the TV blaring--doesn't even phase you. Whenever we run errands, or pretty much anytime we go anywhere for anything, Mommy wears you in a carrier...you immediately snuggle in and fall asleep. The only 'issue' this has caused is you are a wee bit spoiled...and you're starting to hate your car seat. You rarely get to ''full blown screaming'' level but you sure do make lots of fussy sounds while we're driving! 99% of the time you are just so happy and so content.

At just 3 months old you:
- already sleep through the night...and I mean the whole night. You usually go to sleep around 9pm and sleep straight through without waking at all, til 7 or 7:30am.
- you bat at toys on your floor gym and even grasp your crinkly toys while in your car seat
- love to put weight on and bounce on your legs; whether on mom & dad's laps or in the johnny jump-up
- still nurse every 3 hours during the day {but now nurse on both sides each feeding}
- are squealing and gurgling, cooing and have even giggled a few times
- love watching your brothers. you'll sit in your swing and just watch them play
- still fit into size 2 diapers but will probably fit into 3's soon; you wear 3mos Carter's sleepers and onesies but 3-6mos outfits/dresses
"I can't handle it"
Picture this if you will. Kids are acting nuts...arguing back and forth about cars, hollering super loud, running the entire length of the house, tattling, etc. Pooks comes up to speaking 100 words a minute and I can't understand a single thing...
Me: Pookie, I cannot even handle you right now...you are acting insane!This comment combined with the fact that Peanut is constantly saying "Baby I like it", is making me re-evaluate my music choices. Okay, I lied. I'm not re-evaluating my music choices but there's no bad language so a little Flo Rida never hurt anyone...right??
Pooks: Mom, the club can't handle me right now* eveer {either}.
