the name game

okay so its 1am and i'm still up for 2 reasons:

1-i have heartburn and laying down hurts
2-because i am still awake, i am over analyzing the fact that peanut still doesn't have a real name (and thus probably inadvertently keeping myself awake)

honestly, right now, numero two is bothering me the most. i don't understand why we can't pick a name for him. with bubba and pooks right after we found out they were boys, we just knew. like we said the name and it felt right and it stuck. with pooks i had doubts the week before i had him but as soon as he was born, i knew the original name was right. i don't know how or why, but pooks is---pooks! it just fits.

so why can't we freaking pick a name? you may think we can't agree on one. wrong. we have a LIST of names that we both like but none of them scream out ''pick me! pick me!" its frustrating.

so i am turning to my blog readers. what the heck should we name peanut? screw the poll, just in the comment section-- leave your suggestions. here is mine and B's list of "okay" names:

Peyton
Keegan
Nolan
Carson
Colin
Madden
*Ethan

*okay so right now (as in like 5 seconds ago) i suggested the name Ethan and B repeated it. then said it with bubba and pooks real names and decided that its his favorite. i do like it and its kinda odd how it literally JUST came to me as i'm bitching about not deciding on a name....hmmm.

Ethan? love it or hate it? let me know or suggest others! the list was just to give you an idea of what kind of names we like.

p.s.--i know some of you are loyal readers but never comment. crawl out of the woodwork. show yourselves at least on this post. PLEASE! share your opinion, by honest--trust me, i can take it ;)

photo shoot

just wanted to pop in to share these photos that i took tonight. B left work on time (woohoo!) and we treated the kids to McDonald's followed by an evening at the park. i was hoping to catch some good candid shots of the boys playing before it gets to cold and i get too big. enjoy ;)




i have to say that the first one, i love. and i really like the one of pooks and B swinging. pooks' was just SO happy and i think it captured it well. the exposure is a little off, but oh well. sweet nonetheless!

my favorite kind of day

a lazy day of course!

today was like a dream day. it was cool enough outside to open the windows, it was overcast out but not depressing. the kinda day where you just want to sleep in and when you do get up, you pull on comfy sweats and drink hot cocoa. very relaxing. and apparently i'm not the only one who thinks so.

guess who slept a total of over 14 hours last night and didn't get up til 10am when i woke him up?

my pookie ;)

that kid is so much like me, sometimes its scary. he HATES being woke up. even on the days where i do have to wake him, i do so by making enough noise in the hallway that he wakes up on his own. if you try to wake him by gently moving him and saying "time to get up"--watch out! you will have a beast to take care of all morning and he will be cranky all day. the kid LOVES his sleep. and apparently the fact that his room was nice and dark, his bed was warm and he was content all made for a sleepy little guy.

the only reason i woke him up was because everyday around 2ish we all take a nap. i need that nap as much as the boys do! so i woke him up with bubba's help and surprisingly while the initial wake-up was ugly, once up he was Mr. Happy. and just like i predicted at 2pm he was out like a light again. didn't wake up til almost 5pm. then he turned around and went to bed at 8:15pm without so much as a peep in protest.

did i mention i love that kid, LOL.

bubba on the other hand "slept in" til 8:40. which don't get me wrong is wonderful considering he usually gets up by 7:30am. i was happy that i got to sleep in at all! but i was a teeny bit jealous of pooks!

we didn't do much but lounge around and play. the boys got to wear long sleeve t-shirts with sweats since i had the windows open. we were all very comfy. we watched some backyardigan's, had a snack or two, ran to the store, played with trains for a bit, had papa's favorite fast food for lunch, napped, and then had yummy chili for supper. it was great since i let it simmer all day in the crock pot...mmm!

i have to add that as much as i love my pookie for his sleep habits, i love bubba for his eating habits and how he's my ''clean'' child. take a look at 2 pictures i took during the middle of dinner tonight:

guess which kiddo i chose to clean up and which kiddo i passed on to B?? hehe.

hey, the kid had chili in his EAR! it wasn't exactly rocket science to figure out which one would be easier to clean up!

i think i might be pregnant....

LOL. if there was ANY doubt before (which there wasn't but still) you can definitely tell i'll pregnant now! i just took this belly pic and even i said ''holy crap'' out loud. i swear i wasn't this big 2 days ago! i don't know if its the way peanut is laying in there or what but i suddenly look huge.

above is my 25 week belly pic, although its 25weeks and 4days, so in actuality its a 25/26week picture. just for a growing comparison, here is my 20 week pic.
can you even believe it? no wonder my damn jeans don't fit! i've had to actually wear maternity jeans with this pregnancy!

it is that time again!

if you notice, over on the right hand side underneath the "How fast they grow" section, i added a game! its a fun little way for everyone to predict peanut's birth.

i will give you a heads up:

• bubba was born 3 weeks early (due to my high blood pressure) & weighed in at 7lbs 11oz
• pooks was born 2.5 weeks early (naturally) and weighed 6lbs 5oz
• we already had an ultrasound that said we were having a boy. these aren't 100% but they are fairly accurate
