i am sitting here looking at preschool brochures and applications.
my oldest kid is turning three in two weeks, which means that my little "baby" will be three and a half years old on August 31st. granted we don't have to enroll him in preschool, but he is such a bright little guy and i think that being with his peers (that he isn't related too) would do really good for him.
and while it's good for him, it's a bit overwhelming for mom.
I'm sure it's hard to have your "baby" go off to preschool! :( I just wanted to say after working at preschools in Manhattan, if he isn't on a wait list for anywhere now, you should probably put him on one ASAP. There are just not enough preschools in Manhattan to accomodate all of the kids!! The preschools I worked at had over a year long waiting list! You probably already knew to get him on a wait list, but I guess you can't do that until you decide where you want him to go to preschool but just thought this might motivate you to make a decision...I know I ALWAYS need motivation to make big decisions like that. ;)
ReplyDeleteIsn't that hard? We chose to put Sassy in preschool at 2 1/2, and it was one of the best decisions I have made. She has made leaps and bounds with her letters, writing, etc. It's a great social experience, too. Good luck!
